This week on The Whiskey Trip Podcast, Big Chief heads to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia and visits with Rick Wasmund, Founder, Owner, and Master Distiller of Copper Fox Distillery.
They chat about Rick’s love of peated whiskey and his goal to create something different on the American Whiskey landscape. Rick uses fruit wood to smoke his malt whiskey. His malting house is right in the heart of historic Williamsburg.
Big Chief and Rick enjoy the original Rye and a Chestnut American Whiskey for the first half. Then, for the second half the big man and Slick Rick sip on an original single malt that was smoked with apple and cherry wood. They finish off the show with an amazing glass of peach wood smoked Single malt whiskey.
